Genie and Jared are an unexpected couple. If you meet them separately, you might be surprised to know they are together. Genie is loaded with energy. Jared is mellow. Genie is vibrant and vocal. Jared is calm and quiet. Genie moves onto the next thing before anyone else has a chance to catch up to her. She waits for no one… except for Jared. Ironically, Jared seems to know where Genie is going before she does.
And that’s when I noticed how unexpectedly perfect they are for each other. When they come together, their differences melt away. They flow as one complete beautiful unit. A true Yin and Yang.
I wish them all the love and happiness!
On the day of their wedding, I met Jared at the Mesa Temple a little early. We arranged for Jared and Genie to do a “first look” before their ceremony. While we waited for Genie to arrive, I snapped a few photos of Jared waiting patiently for his bride.
Roses, roses, roses… there was no shortage of this classic beauty!
Ah… love this moment right before they see each other for the first time!
This next photo is such a great example of Genie’s personality.
Genie was a wildly fun bride to photograph. She jumped in trees, rolled around in the grass, sat in the dirt… BEFORE the ceremony!! I’m certain I’ll never photograph another bride like her again!
The grounds at the Temple are amazing all year round. It’s impossible not to be inspired by the nature around you when you visit this place. And it’s the most perfect backdrop for brides and grooms.
Later that evening, they had an outside reception with loads of candles and holiday lights. The feeling was warm and happy… it reminded me of Christmas. Here are just a few of the little details from the party.
