Nicole and Sonny Married! {Phoenix Wedding Photographer}

Less than two weeks ago I had the pleasure of photographing Nicole and Sonny’s wedding.  They got married at the Arrowhead Country Club.  It was a perfect place, on a perfect day, for a perfect couple!!

We started our morning documenting all the beautiful girls getting ready.  Hair and makeup were done by the amazing Taura.  And the very talented Sarah Shaw assisted me with photography.

Below are a series of images Sarah took.  I absolutely LOVE them!

There were so many mirrors in the dressing room.  It was fun playing with the reflections, lights, and angles.

When Nicole showed me the shoes she would be wearing, I wasn’t surprised at all.  They were so cute… just like her!  You’ll see how the cupcakes tie into her wedding theme later.

Sarah and I split up when Sonny arrived.  Sarah got busy photographing Sonny, the groomsmen, and his family.  Below are some of my favorites.

I took Nicole, the bridesmaids, and her family in the opposite direction for photographs.  Here are a few I took before the ceremony.

I love still moments like this.

Here are some awesome photos Sarah took during the reception.

It’s official!

After the ceremony, we took a few more family and bridal party photos.  Then we did some of just Sonny and Nicole.  They are so gorgeous!

Some more amazing photos by Sarah!

I love it when two photographers are working from different angles at the same time.  Sarah’s is on the left…  Mine’s on the right.

I absolutely love this next one Sarah took.  It’s so romantic.

Sarah’s ring shots are always killer.  I love what she does with them.

The reception was decked out in black and pink.  So hot!! Whooyah!

Nicole’s cake was all cupcakes (get the shoes now?).  The top tier was a traditional cake.  The cake topper was my favorite.  It was very modern and stylish.  Sarah’s’ photos are on the left and below…  Mine is on the right.

Sonny and Nicole opened up the dance floor with the “first dance”.  Soon after dinner and a few formalities, guests started to make their way towards to the floor and the party began!

I had to include this shot Sarah took of the ring bearer.  He was rockin the dance floor all night!  I think he had more dance skills than anyone one else.  He was a doll!

Congrats Nicole and Sonny!!  You guys rock and your wedding was awesome!

April 23, 2010 - 3:24 pm Nicole & Sonny - WE LOVE THESE! of course YOU DID IT AGAIN!!!!!!! thanks again to you and Sarah, we couldn't be happier! SO EXCITED to see the rest!

April 23, 2010 - 5:08 pm Gail Sofia - Danielle & Sarah - You were BOTH so pleasant to be around during formal and informal shots... it was like you were both just part of the family and blended in! Then once the ceremony began and even during the reception the two of you were like two quiet little worker bees, not to be detected! Excellent job ladies and my kudos to you! I am so very proud to show any of your photos to friends and family... alas they are all in Upstate NY so it would be difficult for recommendations... but I'm glad my children found you... your services are beyond compare!

April 24, 2010 - 4:11 pm Tobiah Tayo - Brilliant photos! particularly love the pre ceremony photos and number 2 is wonderful! Great photos!

April 24, 2010 - 11:43 pm Avelaine Scyrup - Your BW is really beautiful - nice and crisp - but really well matched by your use of color. You and Sarah really match well together!

April 25, 2010 - 11:39 am Monika Szczepaniak - I absolutely love your photos. They are elegant, fresh, beautifuly taken. No wonder the guests adore them.

April 25, 2010 - 12:07 pm Nick - love these, great color and perfect capture of the day. great work.

April 25, 2010 - 3:01 pm shipra - Tobiah stole my sentiments exactly :) The second shot is absolutely fantastic as is the entire getting ready series. Her shoes are such a fun and personal touch. And those bridesmaid dresses are awesome.

April 26, 2010 - 5:27 am Thomas Lester - These are really good. The shot of the Bride and her father about to come down the aisle where you can see the guests in the reflection is awesome.

April 28, 2010 - 11:04 am Sonny & Nicole - I look at these on a daily basis, I truly love them, I can't thank you enough. I can't say it ENOUGH to you! BOTH of you.
