San Xavier Mission

Last month, while driving home from Kristi and Kevin’s wedding, Cassie and I made a detour to visit the San Xavier Mission.  We gave ourselves 20 minutes to walk around and take photographs of this beautiful building before we had to get back on the road.

The Catholic church was completed in 1797, and is the oldest intact European structure in Arizona.  This is also the church Ansel Adams photographed, so it might look familiar to some of you.  It is truly a stunning place and I’m glad we took the time to see it.
