A few weeks ago I blogged about my get together with fellow photographers, Sarah Shaw, Kathryn Crouse, and Julia Romano.  We had a fun time hanging out and photographing some awesome models.  The second model I worked with was Elecia.  She’s a beautiful teenager, and I loved the photos I was able to snag of her as the sun was setting.  Below are some of my favs…

I’ve kept Julia waiting… forever.  Well, maybe it’s only been a few months… but it feels like forever!!  It’s been that long since I took these photographs, and I finally had a moment to edit some of her pictures.

Julia just graduated high school.  She’s an amazing photographer (she helps me with weddings sometimes, acting as a third shooter).  And she’s about to head off to college to continue her photography studies.  She’s the sweetest person in the world.  And she’s definitely one of the cutest!!

Sorry these took so long Julia!!  I owe you!!

I’ve said it so many times before…  one of my favorite types of sessions is photographing high school seniors.  They are trendy, comfortable in front of the camera, and always have lots of fun energy.  Missy’s session was definitely a favorite of mine.  She knew exactly how to work it for the camera.  She was a natural!

We did Missy’s photos at Heritage Square in downtown Phoenix.  Then we made our way up the road and shot around Conspire Cafe.   I love working in this part of town.  There’s always a ton of photography options, and these backdrops worked so well for Missy’s session.

Below are some of my favorites from the session.  I had so many… it was so hard to narrow it down for this blog post!

Noelle is beautiful.  Not just only on the outside, but also on the inside.  She’s got a killer personality.  She’s funny, she’s smart, she’s easy going…  she’s just an overall cool person.  So I was super happy when her mom (who’ve I’ve known for years now), asked me to take her high school senior photographs.  I especially love doing these types of sessions because high school kids are always into the latest fashion and have the best energy.   It’s always a fun time!

As of November, I’ve been swamped with work…  completely booked for the rest of the year.  There was no way I could possibly take on one more session this year.  Zero chance.

Then Donna contacted me and asked if I had time around Thanksgiving to take her daughter’s high school senior photos.  They would be visiting from out of town, and were hoping to get their pictures done while in Phoenix.  I paused.  For a second.  Then I figured out a way to make it work on my calendar because I love photographing high school seniors!!

Allison and Kelly aren’t just sisters…  they’re twins.  And even though they aren’t identical, I still had a hard time telling these two beauties a part.  I ended up saying “hey you” way more than I would have liked.  Hopefully, they have forgiven me.  I am so glad I took this session because these two were so fun to work with.  I love their style, love that they brought their instruments to the shoot, and love that I got to document this time in their lives.

We took tons of photos… below are just a few from our session at DC Ranch Marketplace in Scottsdale.  Thanks for being patient with me girls!!  I know it took a while to get these to you.

I met up with Terry over a month ago to do a mini high school senior portrait session for him.  We were originally aiming for just a few shots that his mom could hang on her wall. But as I was talking to his family about locations to shoot at, they mentioned a spot in town with a row of abandaned houses…  a perfect backdrop for a high school senior portrait session.

Well, our mini session turned into a few hours.  I couldn’t help myself!  I love photographing in unusual areas and Terry was awesome to work with.   So we just kept shooting until the sun went down.  Below are some of my favorites.
