I like unusual backgrounds… run down abandon houses, downtown alleys, peeling paint on walls, bright colors and textures. I also enjoy photographing people in their homes because it’s their natural environment. I even enjoy simple backgrounds of white or black, when the moment calls for such an occasion.
I love contrast. I love energy. I love expression. I love the unusual. I love simplicity. I love creativity.
I am not a traditional photographer. I do not like to huddle people in a group and ask them to say cheese. I am not a landscape photographer, therefore I have little interest in photographing people in front or trees, mountains, or waterfalls just because they look pretty.
I’d rather tell a story with my photographs… your story! Maybe that means I am documenting a moment in your life. Or maybe that means we are taking a more “staged” approach to create an art piece. Every story is different. But my goal is to produce images that make you feel something… that move you… that you’ll always want to revisit for years to come.
